Borders Bill: third reading

The passage of the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Bill's journey through the Lords was completed on 22 April with its third reading.
Suggested changes to the Bill covered several clauses, including provisions for the welfare of children.

Third reading is a Bill's final stage in the Lords and is the last opportunity for Members to make changes. Amendments at this stage aim to improve the wording of the Bill and to clarify remaining uncertainties.
The Bill moves to the House of Commons for consideration.
