Health Bill: report stage

During the first day of report stage on the Health Bill, Members of the Lords discussed suggested changes to the clauses proposing an NHS constitution

Other topics discussed included car parking charges and a committee to advise on treating haemophilia. The amendments discussed covered clauses 1-9 of the Bill.

Report stage - further consideration of suggested changes to the Bill - continues on 6 May. Every suggested change can be discussed and votes can happen. Any Member of the Lords can take part.

The Health Bill aims to improve the quality of NHS care and services and to improve public health.
