Local Democracy Bill: report stage

A Government Bill that aims to create greater opportunities for community involvement in local decision making continued its passage through the Lords on 1 April
Discussion of suggested changes to the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Bill took place to conclude report stage. Line by line examination of clauses 68-80 took place.

The Bill will now be considered at third reading - a final chance to amend the Bill. All suggested changes can be discussed and votes can take place. A date for third reading is yet to be scheduled.
