The House of Lords debated the report by the Joint Committee on Human Rights on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on 28 April in Grand Committee in the Moses Room.

The report was debated alongside consideration of the European Communities (Definition of Treaties) (United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) Order 2009.

Lords Select Committee reports are generally discussed either on the floor of the House (in the Chamber) or in Grand Committee (away from the Chamber - usually in the Moses Room). Any Member of the Lords can take part and a minister responds for the Government. The debate usually takes place once the Government has formally responded to the committee's recommendations.
