Ministers appear before terrorism inquiry

The House of Lords EU Sub-Committee on Home Affairs inquiry into money laundering and the financing of terrorism continues at 10am when Treasury and Home Office Ministers give evidence

The Committee will hear from Ian Pearson MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury, and Alan Campbell MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Home Office at 10am, followed at 11.15am by John Ringguth, Executive Secretary, Council of Europe's Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL).

The Committtee's inquiry looks at the role of the EU and its Member States in global efforts to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing and considers the level of international cooperation in detecting and preventing money laundering operations.
