The House of Lords Committee on the Barnett Formula hears evidence from Jim Murphy MP, Secretary of State for Scotland, Paul Murphy MP, Secretary of State for Wales and Shaun Woodward MP, Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. The evidence session starts at 5pm in Committee Room 4A of the House of Lords.

The Ministers will be asked about the workings of the Barnett Formula, how the application of the formula has been affected by devolution and whether it is still an effective and fair way to distribute public money.

They will also be asked to give an indication of how much influence they, as Secretaries of State, have within the Government on the workings of the Barnett Formula system.
