BBC gives evidence to film and TV industry inquiry

The House of Lords Communications Committee inquiry into UK originated content in film and television continues at 10.30 am, when the Committee hears evidence from representatives from the BBC

Giving evidence at 10.30am will be Jana Bennett, Director, BBC Vision; George Entwistle, Controller of Knowledge Commissioning, BBC; and Peter Salmon, Director, BBC North, followed at 11.30am by John Smith, Chief Executive, and Wayne Garvey, Director, Content and Production, BBC Worldwide.

The Committee's inquiry examines the contribution of the UK film and television industries to the British economy and how this might be increased. It also examines the cultural contribution of the industry and how current arrangements support UK investment and jobs.
