Black Rod appointment

Baroness Royall of Blaisdon, the Leader of the House of Lords, led tributes to Sir Michael Willcocks KCB CVO in the House of Lords upon his retirement as the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod.
This followed a formal announcement that Lieutenant-General Sir Freddie Viggers KCB CMG MBE had been appointed to the post of Black Rod.
