The House of Commons debated the second reading of the Equality Bill, a Bill to reform and harmonise equality law and restate the greater part of the enactments relating to discrimination and harassment related to certain personal characteristics

The second reading of a Bill is the first opportunity for MPs or Members of the Lords to debate and vote on the main principles and purpose of the Bill.
