Health Committee alcohol inquiry continues

Healthcare experts appear before the Health Committee's inquiry into alcohol from 10.00 am

Giving evidence at 10am will be Mike Kelly, Director of the Centre for Public Health Excellence, National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE); Dr Lynn Owens, Nurse Consultant, Liverpool Primary Care Trust (PCT), and Dr Paul Cassidy, GP, Gateshead PCT.

In the second part of the session at 11.15am, witnesses will be Robin Touquet, Professor of Emergency Medicine, St Mary’s Hospital, London; Dr Duncan Raistrick, Director, Leeds Addiction Unit; Carole Binns, Service Manager for Mental Health Communities, Health and Care Southampton City Council; and Brian Hayes, Paramedic Team Leader, Waterloo Ambulance Station.
