Members of the House of Lords discussed the principles of the Industry and Exports (Financial Support) Bill during second reading.

The committee stage was taken formally without debate - committee negatived -as the Bill is a 'Money Bill'.

The House of Lords cannot amend Money Bills so committee stage, report stage and third reading are just formalities.

Third reading is scheduled to take place on 21 May with Royal Assent (Bill becomes an Act of Parliament) expected later that day.
