Leader of the Commons statement on Allowances

The Leader of the House of Commons, Harriet Harman MP, made a statement to the House on the decisions made at the meeting on Tuesday 19 May of the Members Estimate Committee convened by the Speaker with the Prime Minister, the party leaders and the Chair of the Committee on Members’ Allowances, and on the Prime Minister’s proposals for a new parliamentary standards authority.
