Lord Forsyth of Drumlean introduced a discussion on the economic prospects for the UK in the House of Lords on 7 May

Members with expertise in, and experience of, business, economics and finance contributed to a wide-ranging debate.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern. A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
