Marine Bill: report stage

The Marine and Coastal Access Bill's journey through the House of Lords continued on 5 May with the first day of report stage.
Possible amendments discussed covered issues such as the role and function of the proposed Marine Management Organisation and clauses 1-49 of the Bill.

Further line by line examination of the Bill takes place during report stage and allows Members to revisit issues discussed previously. All suggested changes to the Bill can be discussed and votes can take place.
The Bill will be examined further during report stage on 19 May, where further changes can be made.
