MPs debate television licence fee freeze

MPs debated the motion before the House, moved by Jeremy Hunt, Conservative MP for South-West Surrey, that the Communications (Television Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2009 (S.I., 2009, No. 505), be revoked

Th Regulations came into force on 1 April 2009 to set the television licence fee for the following year. The motion before the House effectively calls for the freezing the licence fee at the level set before the Regulations came into force.
