The House of Lords considered Commons amendments (proposals for change) to the Government Bill to empower certain local authorities in England and Wales to levy a local supplement on the business rate to invest in that area on 29 June.

Outstanding issues on the Bill were resolved and the Bill now awaits the final stage of Royal Assent - when the Bill becomes an Act of Parliament (law). Royal Assent is yet to be scheduled.
