The second and final day of report stage on the Business Rate Supplements Bill took place in the House of Lords on 9 June

Members of the Lords discussed possible changes to the Bill, which covered clauses (parts) 16-29.

Further line by line examination of the Bill takes place during report stage and allows Members to revisit issues discussed previously. All suggested changes to the Bill can be discussed and votes can take place.

Third reading - the final chance for the Lords to change the Bill - takes place on 16 June.

The Business Rate Supplements Bill empowers certain local authorities in England and Wales to levy a local supplement on the business rate to invest in that area.
