A Private Members' Bill on the role of the Law Commission concluded its passage through the House of Lords on 1 June

The Law Commission Bill, sponsored by Lord Lloyd of Berwick, was given a third reading. The Bill now passes to the House of Commons.

Third reading is a final chance to amend a Bill. Every suggested change can be discussed and votes can happen. Any Member of the Lords can take part.
