The House of Lords Constitution Committee hears evidence at 11am for its inquiry into the contemporary workings of the Cabinet Office and the centre of government.

Giving evidence to the Committee at 11am will be:

  • Lord Butler of Brockwell, former Cabinet Secretary (1988-98)
  • Lord Wilson of Dinton, former Cabinet Secretary (1998-2002)
  • Lord Armstrong of Ilminster, former Cabinet Secretary (1979-87)

The Committee's inquiry seeks to investigate the role of the Cabinet Office in the light of the changing nature of British governance, often characterised by a more diverse, fragmented, complex, pluralistic and decentralised policy-making arena.
