Lord Haskel introduced a debate about the contribution of science, technology and engineering to the UK in the House of Lords on 4 June.

The discussion covered topics including medicine, research, manufacturing, innovation and commerce, and heard from Members with experience in all aspects of science, technology and engineering.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern. A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
