Policing and Crime Bill: Lords second reading

The Policing and Crime Bill - which would change the law on a range of issues including the accountability of the police, the laws on soliciting and more - was discussed in the House of Lords on 3 June. The aims and general principles of the Bill were debated

The committee stage - line by line examination of the Bill - is scheduled for 22 June.
During committee stage every suggested change (amendment) to the Bill can be discussed and every clause has to be agreed to. Any Member of the Lords can take part and votes can happen.
