Coroners and Justice Bill: committee stage

Members of the Lords continued the line by line examination of the Coroners and Justice Bill on 7 July

Amendments (proposals for change) discussed and voted on included parts of the Bill seeking to amend the Suicide Act 1961 on assisted suicide, as well as other issues.

During committee stage every suggested change to the Bill can be discussed and every clause of the Bill has to be agreed to. Any Member of the Lords can take part and votes can happen.

A sixth day of committee stage takes place on 9 July.
