The Scottish Affairs Select Committee recently held two private informal meetings with trade union representatives and executives from Diageo plc to discuss Diageo’s proposals for the restructuring of its Scottish business.
Discussions included the scope of the consultation between Diageo and its employees, and the potential impact of the closures on the local communities in which the Kilmarnock packaging plant and Port Dundas Distillery are based.
