Lord Mandelson appears before EU and China inquiry

Lord Mandelson, First Secretary of State, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, gives evidence to the House of Lords EU Foreign Affairs, Defence and Development Policy Sub-Committee at 11.15am as part of their ongoing inquiry into relations between the EU and China.

Lord Mandelson will be giving evidence to the Committee both as Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills and also former EU Commissioner for Trade.
The Committee will ask Lord Mandelson whether the EU should be more robust in its dealings with China, including on the opening up of China’s market to European goods and services and whether more can be done to ensure China protects intellectual property rights.
