MPs debate Saving Gateway Accounts Bill

The Commons debated Lords' amendments to the Saving Gateway Accounts Bill, which establishes a Government-subsidised savings scheme for people of working age on low incomes and on specified benefits.
The scheme has been trialled in several regions of the UK; the Bill establishes it countrywide. It is voluntary and eligibility is on an individual basis.
