New Members of the Lords

The House of Lords Appointments Commission announced two non-party political Peers will join the House of Lords and sit as Crossbench Members of the House: Dame Nuala O'Loan and Sir Jonathan Sacks.

Dame Nuala O’Loan is a former law lecturer and the first, and former, Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland. Sir Jonathan Sacks is Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth.
Their titles will be decided at a later date.
