Policing and Crime Bill: committee stage

Members of the Lords continued the line by line examination of the Policing and Crime Bill on 1 July
Amendments (proposals for change) discussed covered clauses (parts) 13-16 of the Bill and covered a range of issues including paying for the sexual services of a prostitute subjected to force and more.

During committee stage every suggested change (amendment) to the Bill can be discussed and every clause (part) has to be agreed to. Any Member can take part and votes can happen.
The third day of committee stage on the Bill takes place on 6 July.
The Policing and Crime Bill would change the law on a range of issues including the accountability of the police, the laws on soliciting and more.
