Parliamentary Outreach events in the North West

and are holding three sessions for voluntary organisations across the north west of England to find out more about how Parliament works and how organisations can get involved.

Each session will cover:

  • What Parliament is and what it does
  • How groups can effectively engage with Parliament

In addition, each session will have a guest speaker who will focus on one particular area of interest.

The time, date, venue and guest speaker for each event are as follows:

  • 7 October: 9.30am - 3pm Neuro Support Centre, Glaxo Neurological Centre, Norton Street, Liverpool, L3

    Guest speaker: Specialist Clerk from the House of Commons Health Select Committee

  • 8 October: 9.30am - 3pm Lancaster CVS, Trinity Community Centre, Middle Street, Lancaster, LA1

    Guest speaker: Researcher from Economic Policy and Statistics Section of the House of Commons Library

  • 4 November: 12 - 5pm GMCVO, St Thomas Centre, Ardwick Green North, Manchester, M12

    Guest speaker: Member of the Environmental Audit Committee

All places are free of charge and include lunch and refreshments. Places can be booked by visiting www.vsnw.org.uk and are available on a first come first served basis. There will be a travel bursary provided by VSNW.
