Apprenticeships Bill: Lords committee stage

The ninth day of Lords line by line examination of the Bill to address a range of issues from apprenticeships, to enhancing training opportunities, took place on 19 October.
Amendments (proposals for change) discussed covered clauses (parts) 126-261 of the Bill on subjects including the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency, Children's Trust Boards and further education corporations in England.

During committee stage every suggested change to the Bill can be discussed and every clause has to be agreed to. Any Member of the Lords can take part and votes can happen.
The report stage - a further chance to amend the Bill - takes place on 2 November.
