The Lords Economic Affairs Committee holds its first evidence session, at 3.35pm, for its inquiry into private finance project arrangements and off-balance sheet debt.

The witnesses are:

  • Susan Anderson: director of public services, Confederation of British Industry
  • Douglas Sutherland: managing director, Interserve Investments
  • Ian Rylatt: managing director, Balfour Beatty Capital

In particular the inquiry will be looking at costs, benefits, performance and risk, and how future payments by the Government under existing contracts should be recorded in public sector accounts.
