Tessa Jowell MP, the Minister for the Cabinet Office, gives evidence to the House of Lords Constitution Committee at 11.00 am for its inquiry into the contemporary workings of the Cabinet Office and the centre of government

The role and nature of the Cabinet Office, and the centre of government more widely, has changed markedly in recent years. The Committee's inquiry seeks to investigate the role of the Cabinet Office in the light of the changing nature of British governance, often characterised by a more diverse, fragmented, complex, pluralistic and decentralised policy-making arena.
