Policing and Crime Bill: Lords committee stage

Members of the House of Lords continued the line by line examination of the Policing and Crime Bill on 13 October.
Amendments (proposals for change) discussed covered clauses (parts) 30-48 of the Bill on issues including alcohol licensing, binge drinking and injunctions to prevent gang-related violence.

During committee stage every suggested change to the Bill can be discussed and every clause has to be agreed to. Any Member can take part and votes can happen.
The fifth day of Lords committee stage takes place on 20 October.
The Policing and Crime Bill would change the law on a range of issues including the accountability of the police, the laws on soliciting and more.
