Members of the Lords continued the line by line examination of the Policing and Crime Bill on 20 October

Amendments (proposals for change) discussed covered clauses (parts) 49-116 of the Bill on subjects including power to retain seized property, extradition and security planning for airports.

During committee stage every suggested change to the Bill can be discussed and every clause has to be agreed to. Any Member of the Lords can take part and votes can happen.

The report stage - a further chance to change the Bill - takes place on 3 November.
