The Treasury Committee holds the first evidence session of its inquiry into women in the City. The session starts at 2.30pm and witnesses include female bankers.

The evidence session is expected to cover:

  • the proportion of women occupying senior positions in major financial institutions and the extent of glass ceilings to promotion
  • pay inequalities
  • the prevalence of flexible working practices
  • the extent to which the culture of the City is sexist, and the prevalence of sexual harassment and exploitation
