  • Sri Lanka: progress report on humanitarian situation in the country

Home Office

  • Asylum applications: initial and final submissions to be made in person at specified regional centres
  • Identity cards: applications soon to be accepted from individuals and staff from various organisations
  • Anti-social behaviour:Home Secretary announces package of measures to improve the collective response to anti-social behaviour

Justice

  • Boundary Commission for Wales: re-appointment of deputy chairman
  • Legal aid: announcement of a review of legal aid which will consider ways in which its delivery might be improved
  • HM Court Service: consultation opens on the closure of one county and 20 magistrates' courts; and the publication of a discussion paper on the future provision of magistrates’ courts in London
