Seven new written ministerial statements from four government departments were made on 15 October.
Defence
- UK troops for Afghanistan: Defence Secretary names units involved following his statement on 15 July 2009
- Review of defence procurement: the result of the independent review by Bernard Gray which identifies continuing procurement problems.
Justice
- Data Protection Act 1998: Consultation paper on introducing penalties for misuse or selling personal data.
- Royal prerogative: the Government's review of these powers as part of its constitutional reforms.
Transport
- EU Transport Council: report of meeting held on 2 October
HM Treasury
- Consolidated statement on the use of funds in the UK from the EU budget
- Economic and Financial Affairs Council: report of the informal meeting held on 1-2 October
