BAE Systems and Airbus give evidence to inquiry

The Business, Innovation and Skills Committee hears evidence for its new inquiry into the motor sport and aerospace industries in the UK. The first witnesses to appear will be businesses in the aerospace sector, including BAE Systems and Airbus. Watch live from 10.30 am

The witnesses are as follows:

  • Airbus
  • BAE systems
  • Royal Aeronautical Society
  • Aerospace, Defence and Security Group

The inquiry will examine:

  • the role of the motorsport and aerospace sectors in the wider economy
  • the effects of the recession on these two industries during the recession
  • the effectiveness of government policies in supporting these two industries
  • the role universities play in supporting these industries and how their excellence in aeronautical and automotive engineering can be maintained will form a key part of this inquiry
