Committee questions Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth

The Defence Committee takes evidence from Bob Ainsworth MP, Secretary of State for Defence, at 10.30am.

During the first part of the session, the Committee will take evidence on its inquiry into Ministry of Defence Annual Report and Accounts.

The Committee will further take evidence from the Secretary of State for Defence and Rear Admiral Alan Richards, Assistant Chief of Defence Staff (Strategy & Plans), on its inquiry into the readiness and recuperation of the Armed Forces.

The Committee will also use this session to explore the Green Paper process which is expected to lead up to a Strategic Defence Review in 2010.
