Members of the Lords discussed the European Union Committee's report on the future of EU financial regulation and supervision on 10 November

Baroness Cohen of Pimlico opened the debate and the Financial Services Secretary, Lord Myners, responded on behalf of the Government.

Lords Select Committee reports are generally discussed either on the floor of the House (in the Chamber) or in Grand Committee (away from the Chamber).

Any Member of the Lords can take part and a minister responds for the Government.

The debate usually takes place once the Government has formally responded to the committee's recommendations.
