Omagh bomb inquiry: intelligence-sharing and lessons learnt

The Northern Ireland Affairs Committee holds the latest evidence session of its investigation focusing on the sharing of intelligence relating to the bombing, and lessons learnt in the intervening 10 years. Watch live from 5pm.

The witnesses for this session are:

  • Norman Baxter, former Head of the Serious Crime Branch, Police Service of Northern Ireland
  • David McWilliams, former Detective Chief Inspector, Police Service of Northern Ireland

Mr Baxter headed the Omagh bomb investigation team for several years. Mr McWilliams was an Inspector on duty in Omagh on the day the bomb exploded.
