Members of the House of Lords discussed the Commonwealth's shared goals in democracy and development on 10 December

A wide-ranging discussion took place on issues including youth development, climate change, alleviating child mortality and poverty, diversity, trade and economic development.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern. A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
