Lords debate on climate change

Members of the House of Lords debated the Committee on Climate Change's progress report 'Meeting Carbon Budgets - the need for a step change' on 8 December.
The Committee on Climate Change is an independent body and its report to Parliament, on the progress that has been made by the Government so far in reducing emissions, and the implications of the recession and credit crunch for meeting carbon budgets, was discussed.

The Committee on Climate Change is an independent body established under the Climate Change Act to advise the UK Government on setting carbon budgets, and to report to Parliament on the progress made in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
