Question on classroom assistants in the North East

Minister of State for Schools and Learners, Vernon Coaker, answered a written question from Jim Cousins on the number of full-time teaching assistants in schools in the North East region.

In addition to oral questions, MPs and Peers can ask government ministers questions for written answer. These are often used to obtain detailed information about policies and statistics on the activities of government departments.
