Over the past two years, the Welsh Affairs Committee has conducted substantial and in-depth inquiries into the provision of cross-border services for Wales.
The inquiry reports highlighted a number of areas in which co-ordination between Whitehall and the Welsh Assembly Government needed to improve.
The Committee is now returning to each strand of the inquiry - health, education and transport - to determine what progress has been made, in the light of the Government's responses to its reports.
It will also look at cross-border issues in relation to economic development - which has been a central priority for the National Assembly for Wales since its inception and has particular relevance at the present time.
