Committee evidence session focuses on NHS finances

The Health Committee's 'Public Expenditure on Health and Personal services 2009' inquiry continues with an evidence session expected to focus on the state of NHS finances, whether value for money is being achieved for the £103 billion budget for the NHS and future expenditure commitments. The Memorandum on the Public Expenditure Questionnaire (PEQ) covers the Department of Health's response to questions submitted by the Health Committee on a wide range of areas under which the Department is responsible for spending public money.

The PEQ session is a regular feature of the Health Committee's work, taking place on an mostly annual basis.
