Free training for voluntary sector in Yorkshire and the Humber

Will host a number of free training sessions for voluntary organisations in Yorkshire and the Humber in March 2010

Each event will demonstrate the variety of ways in which voluntary organisations can engage effectively with the work of the House of Commons and House of Lords. The events are being organised in partnership with the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action

The dates and venues are as follows:

  • 1 March 2010 - Kingsway Centre, Kingsway, Scunthorpe - 10am to 2pm (registration from 9.30am)
  • 4 March 2010 - The Bar Convent, Blossom Street, York - 10am to 2pm (registration from 9.30am)
  • 5 March 2010 - The Carriageworks, Millennium Square, Leeds - 10am to 2pm (registration from 9.30am)
  • 8 March 2010 - St Mary’s Centre, Bramall Lane, Sheffield. 10am to 2pm (registration from 9.30am)

Each workshop will cover:

  • Parliamentary processes and how to engage with them
  • The General Election
  • How Parliamentary Outreach can help your organisation

All workshops are free and places are available on a 'first come, first served' basis. Each event includes refreshments and networking opportunities.
