Members of the House of Lords with wide-ranging experience of and expertise in climate change issues, the environment, science and economics contributed to the discussion on the outcome of the recent Copenhagen climate change conference on 14 January

Topics covered included: wind, onshore and offshore technology and power; climate change strategy and population dynamics; role of the UN; the UK's Climate Change Act; and the Copenhagen conference actions on reducing emissions, limiting global warming to 2 degrees centigrade, and funding for developing countries.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern. A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
