Members of the House of Lords debated the case for political and constitutional reform on 28 January

The wide-ranging discussion covered topics including: public confidence in politics; House of Lords reform; constitutional framework changes; strengthening Parliament and public perceptions of Parliament; citizenship; local government; and electoral reform.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern.

A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
