House of Lords on nuclear disarmament

Members of the House of Lords, with experience of and expertise in defence issues, foreign policy and international affairs, including former Secretaries of State, contributed to the debate on multi-lateral nuclear disarmament and strengthening non-nuclear proliferation on 21 January

Subjects covered included: nuclear warheads worldwide; dirty bombs and terrorism; multi-lateral agendas on nuclear disarmament; nuclear power; sanctions and missile defence policies.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern.

A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
