Lord Mandelson questioned by the Lords

On 21 January Members of the House of Lords questioned the Business Secretary, Lord Mandelson, on universities and funding for STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and mathematics); loans under the Enterprise Finance Guarantee scheme; and measures to encourage economic growth.
Members of the Lords with wide-ranging expertise in the topics covered also contributed to the discussion on the answers given by Lord Mandelson.

The additional questions continue to see Members of the House of Lords scrutinise the activities of the Government by ensuring the two Secretaries of State sitting in the Lords (Lord Mandelson and Lord Adonis) are directly responsible for answering them.
Next question session in February with Lord Adonis
Lord Adonis, the Secretary of State for Transport, will be asked three additional questions on 4 February. The questions will be announced on 1 February.
